Put Your Faith to the Test!

A Riveting Dialogue Between Ahmed & John
John: Brother Ahmed, Jesus gave his followers miraculous powers as a sign of their faith.

Ahmed: Yes, I know what you’re referring to. Mark 16:17–18, correct?

“And these signs shall follow them that believe… they shall cast out devils… they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them.”

John: Exactly. Miracles prove divine truth!

Ahmed (smiling): Then let us test this verse, brother John. Do you believe?

John: Of course I do!

Ahmed: Then drink this cup of poison — like the verse says. It shall not harm you.

John (startled): But that would be tempting God.

Ahmed: Ah, but your verse says “any deadly thing will not hurt them”, no conditions attached! Either the verse is true — or it was added later.

Did you know?
Most modern Bible scholars admit that Mark 16:9–20 is a later addition, not found in the earliest manuscripts.

The Qur’an warns us to verify what we follow:

“Woe to those who write the Book with their own hands then say: ‘This is from God.’”
— Qur’an 2:79

Islam honors Jesus (peace be upon him) as a mighty prophet — not a poisoned test subject!
